where have all the days gone?

Aug 12 / Wed / 6.30pm – Went indoor rock climbing with the young adults of Beuamaris Baptist church. Had so much fun! Looking forward to doing it again, next time it’ll be with my officemates.

Inside Rockface in Northbridge. The pictures are from their website. Didn't bother to take pictures myself - maybe next time!

Aug 14 / Fri / 7.30pm – Went to the free worship concert at the MetroChurch. The worship leader was Darlene Zschech of Hillsong. It’s wonderful to be singing worship songs to the Lord with Christians from other denominations. I almost lost my voice after the concert!

Darlene is such an amazing worship leader. Picture is from the web. We're not allowed to take pictures inside the worship hall.

Aug 16 / Sun / 12.30pm – Was invited by Jenni to have lunch with her family after church service. Michelle was invited too! The Ivers (and so is Michelle!) are really nice and godly people. I’m so blessed to have them as friends.

Aug 17 / Mon / 9.30am – Went to the farewell gathering of Blake. He enlisted for the army for four years and today is his departure for NSW. His mom is actually not very happy with his decision, considering the fact that he’s only 17, but joining the army is Blake’s childhood dream. I’m sure he’s be all right, the Lord is with him.

why blog?

It's been almost a year since I last visited my other blog. Honestly, I'm overwhelmed with emotions reading my old entries. Whew! What a journey it has been. I started that blog in April 2006 and stopped posting there in September 2008. A lot (and I mean A LOT!) of things have happened since then. I'm still thinking if I will link it with this blog. So, keep watch!

Someone once asked me why I keep a blog. Why reveal my name, post my picture, and share my story for all the world to see and read? Well, there are several reasons why I keep a blog, the main ones are:

1. Blogging is my way of chronicling my life's journey, thus a reminder to myself how faithful and generous the Lord is.

2. It's a way for me to preserve the lessons I've learned along the way. My triumphs. My failures. My struggles.

3. I'm already tired of answering questions and requests such as "Kamusta na?", "Ano ang ginagawa mo dyan?", "May lovelife ka na ba?", "Padala ka naman ng picture.", and "Anong itsura ng Australia?" from my family and friends. Blogging is a way of answering them all at once. Now all I have to say is "Dalawin mo na lang blog ko".

4. Sharing a piece of myself, my story, or anything that I can share with others is something I love doing.

5. Blogging keeps me sane! If I'm angry at someone, I blog. If I'm ecstatic about something, I blog. If I'm lonely, I blog. If I'm in love, all the more I need to blog!
